How Relational ROOTS™ collects, uses, stores, and protects information connected to assessments, accounts, purchases, and support.

Last updated: August 19, 2026

1. Our commitment to privacy

Relational ROOTS™ is committed to handling personal information with care, transparency, and restraint. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Important: Assessment responses may include personal, relational, emotional, and faith-related reflections. Please provide only information you are comfortable submitting through an online service.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Name, email address, age range or age, gender, relationship status, and the purpose you choose for an assessment.
  • Assessment answers, reported-impact scores, Primary and Supporting ROOTS, generated insights, and saved Personalized Insight Journey information.
  • Account access information, including secure session records, sign-in activity, and records used to reconnect you with saved assessments or purchased journeys.
  • Purchase-related information such as product, payment status, amount paid, transaction references, and the assessment submission connected to a purchase.
  • Messages you send through email or support requests.

Information collected automatically

Our website and service providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps, security logs, and page requests to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the website. The site may also use browser storage or similar technologies to remember assessment progress, results, secure access state, and other features needed for the service to work.

3. How we use information

  • To calculate and display relational snapshots and assessment results.
  • To save completed assessments to My Relational ROOTS.
  • To create, verify, and deliver Personalized Insight Journeys and other purchased resources connected to the correct assessment result.
  • To send secure sign-in links, purchase confirmations, and requested account messages.
  • To prevent fraud, protect accounts, investigate errors, and maintain service security.
  • To improve the clarity, reliability, and usefulness of Relational ROOTS™.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not sell assessment responses or personal information for money. We also do not use your assessment responses to diagnose you or make automated decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, legal status, or other high-stakes matters.

4. Service providers

We use carefully selected third-party providers to operate the platform. They may process information only as needed to provide their services:

  • Netlify — website hosting and serverless functions.
  • Supabase — database storage and account-linked assessment records.
  • Stripe — secure payment processing and checkout verification.
  • Resend — transactional emails such as account access and delivery messages.

Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored directly in the Relational ROOTS™ database.

5. Data retention and security

We retain account, assessment, purchase, and access records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, reconnect you with saved content, maintain transaction records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the platform. We aim to keep only information reasonably needed for those purposes. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your account. Some records may need to be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or transaction purposes.

Email privacy requests to info@therelationalroots.com. Please use the email address associated with your account so ownership can be verified.

7. Assessment and faith-related information

Some assessment responses may reflect sensitive personal, relational, emotional, or faith-related experiences. Relational ROOTS™ uses this information to provide the assessment experience and related personalized resources you request. A participant’s reported experience of God is treated as information about that participant’s experience and interpretation, not as a statement that defines God’s character.

8. Children’s privacy

The current Relational ROOTS™ assessment and account platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform, services, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will identify the current version.
